At Prairie Moon Waldorf School…

…we strive to develop individual qualities and healthy relationships among children. We utilize a curriculum that educates the hands, the heart and the head through academic, artistic and practical work. We honor and recognize the seasons, cycles and rhythms as the basis of all learning.

Prairie Moon is tuned into the importance of Waldorf Education being accessible to families in and around the Lawrence area. As the only Waldorf School in Kansas, every effort will be taken to accommodate those whose hearts are yearning for this education for their child and this community for their family. Filling out the Online Application begins the process of admission.

Whether you are a parent, grandparent or a caregiver, Prairie Moon Waldorf School can support and prepare you to welcome young children with reverence and dignity. We offer an education for a whole-hearted approach to the development of the young child.

Our work is informed by Waldorf Education and Rudolf Steiner’s Anthroposophy to build an awareness and passion for a world where childhood is joyful and honored.
