Ways To Give
Prairie Moon Waldorf School, like all non-profit independent schools, relies on a combination of earned income, through tuition and fees, and fundraising to support its operation and development. Charitable tax-deductible donations help the school thrive.
The Waldorf Association of Lawrence raises money for a variety of purposes that benefit Prairie Moon Waldorf School. Unrestricted donations help support the general operating budget, which includes such things as school supplies, teacher salaries, facilities rental and insurance. The school’s annual giving campaign (see below) provides money for these expenses, as do the school’s Autumn Faire, May Fest and the many ways in which volunteers provide in-kind support. Other donations may be given for particular purposes, such as scholarships, capital improvements, faculty development and new initiatives. In time, the school will embark on a major capital campaign for the purpose of purchasing property and constructing new facilities.
We are grateful for your annual gifts, in-kind support, and contributions to the Annual Giving Campaign, as well as your participation in Autumn Faire, May Fest and other special events. As we look to larger goals such as purchasing property, developing new classrooms, expanding the school’s bio-dynamic garden and expanding Prairie Moon’s role as one of Kansas’ first official Green Schools, we hope you will see the school as a worthy beneficiary of your financial support.
