Annual Giving Campaign
Prairie Moon Waldorf School, a non-profit 501(c) 3, welcomes and encourages people of all cultural, racial, social, ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds to join the school community. The healthy interaction of all kinds of people is important at Prairie Moon.
Prairie Moon strives to keep tuition at a level that will allow any family that wishes to provide a Waldorf education for their child to do so. Tuition assistance is available for those who qualify. Providing tuition assistance leads to what is referred to as the “Tuition Gap.” The gap in funds requires that fundraising beyond the collection of tuition be done by the school. In addition to special events during the year, including the Winterfaire and May Music Festival, an annual giving campaign is conducted.
In the 2008-2009 school year, more than $36,864 was provided to families in tuition assistance. In 2009-2010, the school grew in numbers and tuition assistance exceeded $100,000. Similar amounts have been provided in subsequent years.
