REMINDER: LITTLE JOBS
Are you one of those parents who would like to help out on short-term projects but don’t necessarily have time to join a committee for long-term commitments? If you are one of our Project-Oriented Parents there are occasionally a number of small and large projects that need work around the school. Please let us know if you see a project here that you think you’d like to take on. Melissa would be happy to speak with you about it! Our current list includes our need for:
- Someone to fix the church pew that usually sits between Mr. Carlson’s and Ms. Farwell’s class. The seat needs reinforcing. In fact, if anyone has a 2 x 4 x 8 and can part with it, it will make the job easier for someone to reinforce.
- Someone to build a trash can holder that we can use to keep animals out of our trash cans.
- A last-of-the-season weedwhack around the school building, early childhood playground, and sidewalks. Weedwhacker is in the grades closet by the outside door. See Mr. Schacht for more info.
- The little white bench outside of Daisy Garden: to remove the paint, then sand, and repaint or depending on the wood, to refinish naturally.
